Stories of Courage and Support from Shared Plate's Community

From Hunger to Hope

After losing my job, I relied on Shared Plate’s meals, but what nourished me most was the kindness at their community tables. Now I volunteer there every week.

A Recipe for Belonging

As a Syrian refugee, I felt alone until I shared my family’s hummus recipe at a Shared Plate event. The smiles it created became my new home.

More Than a Meal

Shared Plate didn’t just feed my kids, they taught my daughter to cook through their youth program. She now dreams of becoming a chef.
